Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Get ready for something showy! The Proven Winners® Jazz Hands Night Moves® Fringe Flower (Loropetalum chinense JAZZ HANDS Night Moves 'Suzuki') is an award winning Chinese Fringe Flower that has been a bestseller from the get go! It is so distinctly different from all of its cousins that it should be in a class by itself!

Night Moves® has the same Fringe Flower form and flowers that you know and love, but what makes this one-of-a-kind, is that the flowers are a pristine white and they practically glow against the dark maroon spring leaves! That look alone would be enough to sell this plant!

The broadleaf evergreen leaves have a trick up their (s)leaves. (Get it?) As the season wears on the most unusual variegation happens - mottled green on pink on maroon, with cream thrown in the mix just for fun! You have to see it to believe it!

Growing into a rounded 2-4 foot tall and wide dwarf form, Jazz Hands thrives throughout the sun, heat, and humidity of USDA growing zones 7 to 9, creating a neat, tidy, and low-maintenance shrub that is long-lived and oh so easy to grow! In Zone 7, this shrub can act more semi-evergreen.

Planting and Application:

Night Moves® is spectacular as a specimen planting or lone focal point anywhere in your sun garden! The colorful foliage and seasonal wardrobe change will bring new life and excitement to a tired garden. Sun or shade, bed or border, patio or porch, even container gardeners can enjoy these dwarf Loropetalum!

Ideal plants for cut flower gardens and Pollinator borders, the nectar-rich fragrant blooms and showy foliage look great anywhere indoors or out! Your bees, butterflies, and Hummingbirds will appreciate this double dose of nectar as the shrub can rebloom later in the season. This gorgeous, low-growing flowering broadleaf evergreen shrub features rich foliage that persists all through the year!

This plant has the perfect size for small space gardens and foundation plantings! Perfectly sized for smaller urban gardens, they never fail to bring compliments all year long! Simply gorgeous lining a walkway or your driveway, Jazz Hands Night Moves® will breathe new energy into your weary hedges and borders!

No matter how you use this vastly underutilized flowering shrub, you are sure to create a low-maintenance look for yourself. Regardless of the size of your landscape, Dwarf Chinese Fringe Flower shrubs make themselves right at home and fit right in, melding seamlessly with purple, burgundy, pink, white, red, and yellow plants and flowers!

  • Dark Maroon New Growth Transforms Mottled Green, Pink, Maroon, Purple & Cream
  • Pom Pom-Like White Fragrant Blooms
  • Dwarf Rounded Broad-Leaved Evergreen Form
  • Vital Pollinator & Hummingbird Nectar Resources
  • Vibrant Edging, Garden Specimens, Container Focal Points & Facer Plantings!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Chinese Fringe Flower maintains the best foliage color in at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day but can also grow in partial shade locations in warmer climates. Requiring well-drained soil that is slightly acidic and has regular moisture access throughout the year. No matter your hardiness zone, the root systems will appreciate a 3-4 inch deep layer of arborist mulch, pine bark, or pine straw.

Water new installations regularly and we recommend using the Finger Test. Once established, Loropetalum are very drought tolerant. Fertilize with an acid-loving plant fertilizer twice a year in early spring and mid-summer.

Loropetalum blooms on old wood, so wait until after that first flush of flowers before picking up the shears. You can prune them back to conform to any landscape setting or size need. If you plan ahead for their mature height and spread, you may never have to prune them at all! Renewal pruning is recommended every 3-5 years to maintain the vigor of these long-lived plants.

  • Full Sun For Best Color & Partial Shade Tolerant
  • Slightly Acidic Well-Drained Soil
  • Regular Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Blooms On Old Wood - Prune After Flowering
  • Great Disease & Pest Resistance
  • Deer Seldom Bother These Shrubs!

Incredible variegated color all year and unique flowers, this widely underutilized landscape workhorse will bring delight to your garden with carefree ease! Order the fantastic Proven Winners® Jazz Hands Night Moves® Chinese Fringe Flower shrubs today from Nature Hills Nursery!
