Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Growing Zones 8-10
Well, let's get this bit of business out of the way right off the bat! Japanese Blueberry Tree (Elaeocarpus decipens) doesn't grow blueberries. It does grow small blue-colored, olive-shaped fruit, but they taste terrible! Birds, on the other hand, flock to these berries like you've just planted a shrub full of bird candy!
What the Japanese Blueberry Tree does have for you, though, is the ability to morph into just about any shape you need it to take!
Pendulous, white/cream or pale pink fringy, bell-shaped scented flowers appear in the spring along with bronzy light to dark green glossy evergreen leaves! The long foliage becomes more red as they age and the last year's growth becomes orange, clinging in place for months before finally dropping!
The pollinator-friendly flowers become bright blue bird-attracting ornamental fruit. This heat-loving tropical USDA planting zone 8-10 is a tightly branched broad-leaf evergreen shrub that handles pruning like a champ!
Landscape Application:
This is truly a landscaper's dream! This is why Landscape Designers all over the South and Southwest love putting this in their designs! We mentioned this smaller tree or large shrub handles pruning like a champ! Well, think of this evergreen tree as a landscape chameleon!
Do you want an impenetrable wall of green around your yard to screen your neighbors? Japanese Blueberry Tree!
Do you want a low evergreen hedge behind your perennial border? Japanese Blueberry Tree!
Do you want a handsome trunk with a cloud of foliage on top? Japanese Blueberry Tree!
Keep the lower limbs in place to create a gorgeous bird-friendly hedge for privacy and create a year-round screen and pretty property-dividing installation. Remove the lower limbs to expose the trunk and enjoy these trees as specimen plants and landscape accents, growing 25 - 35 feet in height and 20 - 30 feet wide when allowed to grow to their full mature size.
Casting shade over your seating areas or filling in large areas with gorgeous greenery all year round! Don't live in a warm place or don't have much room for such a large tree? Japanese Blueberry Trees are great patio plants in pots on the porch or patio!
