A compact Hosta with unique upright foliage, the Fireworks Hosta (Hosta 'Fireworks'), is a dwarf, narrow-margined, small sport of the fantastic Loyalist Hosta. It has very unique, upright foliage and curvy, twisty striped, and streaked foliage!
The creamy white leaves of Fireworks are very space-saving, narrow, and have a two-tone green margin that streak around the edges. The very pretty light lavender flowers appear on 12-inch scapes in midsummer and the trumpet-shaped blooms are fantastic nectar resources for bees and butterflies!
Thriving throughout a wide variety of conditions, Hostas are cold, heat, and humidity tolerant throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 9 and are, easy to grow, and perfect for the newbie gardener! Smaller in stature, these vibrant dwarf perennials grow just 8-10 inches tall and only spread into an upright clump 6-8 inches wide!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Also known as Plantian Lily, Tropical Dancer is an herbaceous perennial that has an amazing assortment of colors in each leaf that intensifies in bright light, and while Hosta can be fairly sun tolerant in cooler growing zones, they should be given dappled shade, afternoon shade, or full shade in hotter climates. When watering, make sure to lift up the leaves and water the soil directly underneath. Its large leaves can sometimes act like a bit of an umbrella and keep the roots from getting water. Perennial Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. A generous layer of arborist mulch helps retain soil moisture as well as insulate the root system from heat and chill. Wait until the leaves have been exposed to frost and have turned brown before removing all leaf litter in late fall.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do Hostas need full sun or shade?
Hosta does best in full sun in cooler climates but does appreciate afternoon protection from the worst of the summer sun, especially in the hottest of their growing zone range. In the hottest climates, Hosta like partial shade or dappled shade, and some varieties will do great in full shade.
Where do Hostas grow best?
Hosta plants love enriched, well-drained soil that is moderately yet consistently moist throughout the growing season. They appreciate mulched garden beds.
Do Hostas come back every year? Are Hostas a perennial plant?
With vigorous carefree growth, Hostas are herbaceous perennial plants that will return year after year with little maintenance.
What do you do with Hostas in the fall? What do you do with Hostas in the winter?
Hosta leaves will die back after frost but the crowns and roots remain intact and dormant until next spring. Prune back the leaves once they turn brown in the autumn and remove them from the plant's area. For winter protection, add a layer of compost or mulch over the crowns to protect them from the chill.
Do Hosta attract hummingbirds or pollinators?
Hostas are loved by pollinators and hummingbirds! All walks of beneficial pollinators will show up to sip their nectar.
