This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
If you are a gardener in USDA planting zones 6 to 10, then this sun, heat, and humidity-loving Gardenia is for you! Grow Gardenias in full sun in cooler growing zones, but appreciate some afternoon shade in hotter climates. Gardeners in USDA zones 6 to 7 should plant their Gardenias in a container and bring them into a protected location during cold snaps or bring them indoors as a houseplant during the winter's worst temperatures. Any bright, indirectly sunny window will do. Simply acclimate them indoors gradually then acclimate them back outside in the spring as well.
Well-drained soils are necessary, so if you suspect poor drainage - mound up or keep your shrub in containers, especially if you have heavy, soggy soil. Establish the root system the first year with careful attention to watering, then, put your Gardenias on a regular schedule of watering for best flowering. Apply mulch over the root system, and pull it away from touching the stems. Prune to shape as needed right after the first flush of flowers has finished.
- Full Sun Is Best & Afternoon Shade In Hotter Climates
- Winter Protection For Zones 6 & 7
- Loves Mulched Organically Rich Acidic Soil
- Well-Drained Moist Sites
- Prune After Flowering
- Deadhead After Flowers Fade
