Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Get ready! There’s a new Diva in town! Introducing the Endless Summer® Pop Star® Hydrangea PP#33,703 (Hydrangea macrophylla 'Bailmacsix')! This incredible new Bigleaf Lacecap Hydrangea with lively blooms that seem to glow all on their own! Plus these are incredibly compact and small-space landscaping specimens! Growing only 18-36 inches tall and wide at maturity!

Get blue and purple blooms in acidic soil and pinks in alkaline! These lacy blooms open from the outer edge inward and are held upon sturdy reddish stems. Backed by the classic bigleaf foliage has a deep green hue and shiny quilted texture, plus delicately toothy edges that look incredible in the landscape even when the plant isn't in bloom!

Endless Summer® Hydrangeas are genetically compact and incredibly floriferous, Pop Star® Hydrangea is a lacecap variety that is a standout in the landscape or decorative container. With strong bud hardiness and reliable rebloom, Pop Star® is a blooming powerhouse. These are long-lasting blooms that often dry and persist on the shrub themselves for winter interest, or you can snip a few to try drying them yourself!

Planting and Application:

Pop Stars® short stature makes this a strong border or short hedge plant that doesn’t need pruning to keep its size and is great for year-after-year color on your deck, patio, or porch! The dark green leaves against the blue or pink blooms give the classic Hydrangea look, while the lacecap flowers add extra texture and interest to the garden.

Gorgeous backdrops to any Rose, Cottage, Perennial border, or formal and informal gardens alike! Include as specimen plantings and focal points throughout any sunny landscape setting, among other flowering shrubs in a mixed border, and even the cut-flower garden! Even the butterflies and a few hummingbirds will drop by to visit your new garden diva!

Need another reason to love this little powerhouse? The smaller, compact size means even no garden is no problem! Pot yours up in a large outdoor container with good drainage, in patio and front porch planters for a gorgeous display, or even in a balcony container garden collection!

  • Big Lacecap Blooms in Blue or Pink
  • Quilted Green Textured Foliage
  • Strong Reddish Stems & Compact Smaller Size
  • Gorgeous Cut Flowers & Pollinator Magnets
  • Specimens, Low Hedges, Backdrops & Planters

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Pop Star® does need partial shade to do best, so provide afternoon shade and morning sun, or all-day dappled shade. Heat and cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 through 9, Bigleaf Hydrangea bushes are easy-to-grow, colorful shrubs! Plant these bushes in a well-drained enriched site. Bigleaf Hydrangea flowers are sensitive to pH in the soil and you'll get blue to purple blooms in acidic conditions, and turn pink in alkaline soils. Include a 3-4 inch thick layer of arborist mulch over the surface for best results and fertilize regularly. Prune in very early spring as soon as you can see new buds forming, but only if needed, and only to remove any branch tips that died back over the winter.

  • Partial Shade/Part Sun
  • Enriched Well-Drained Soils
  • Bloom Color is pH-Dependent
  • Moderate Moisture & Fertility Needs
  • Prune Bigleaf Hydrangeas In Early Spring

Hurry on over to the NatureHills.com site to order your own landscape diva today! The Endless Summer® Pop Star® Bigleaf Hydrangea is sure to show off for your home and garden this year, but only if you reserve yours before they're gone!
