Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Emerald Drop Pluot Tree (Prunus x 'Emerald Drop') is an interspecific Plum cross with medium to large fruit. Featuring unique light green skin and honey-like orange flesh, you'll enjoy a prolonged harvest with two stages - early picked fruit is firm, yet juicy and sweet! While fruit turns greenish-yellow when fully ripe when it becomes softer.

Fragrant clouds of white blossoms emerge in spring to transform your tree into a gorgeous flowering ornamental! These are butterfly and bee favorites, so situate one where you can enjoy the flowers, the beneficial insects and your developing harvest! Pluot trees do require a pollinator, so plant more than one or pair it with a Flavor Grenade or Santa Rosa Plum.

Harvest Emerald Drop in late summer! Just in time for end-of-season barbecues and soirees! Grill it after brushing with a simple honey glaze. Cut one in half, and pop them in the oven face up for a few minutes to broil them and bring out the sugars.

Planting and Application:

Featuring a classic shape and Plum-like leaves. It paints a pretty dual-purpose flowering landscaping ornamental tree that produces plenty of nutritious fruit to eat and share with your lucky friends and neighbors! Get beautiful curb appeal and shade for both front and back yard gardening! Everyone on the block will love this tree!

Emerald Drop is a good-sized tree and does best with other Pluots, so start your own orchard or create informal groupings for shade and curb appeal! Need a hedge, privacy and healthy fresh fruit? Create your own privacy hedgerow with other Pluots or stone fruit for a property-defining barrier! You and your neighbors won't mind the view or the tasty treats!
