To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Deer Apple Trees are remarkably hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, handling cold and heat with ease. Growing to a height and width of 15-30 feet, you can always prune these shrubby trees smaller if needed! The lower limbs can even be retained and the tree used as a large shrub with the branches held to the ground if desired!

Planting and Application:

Plant this Apple in full sun for the most blossoms and the most fruit. This heavy bearing variety is disease resistant and holds well into the autumn. Provide a well-drained soil location with good moisture access for new trees, but once established, Deer Apples are adaptable to occasional drought and neglect. Mulch trees well in harsher conditions, cold winters, and in hotter climates. Prune these fruit trees in the late winter or very early spring to control shape, open the canopy to air and sunlight, and to remove crossing branches.
