Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Dense and compact, the sweet little Pixie Meadowbrite Coneflower PP#18546 (Echinacea 'CBG Cone2') has vibrant pink flowers and orange cone centers that create a colorful knee-high display! Growing just 18-20 inches tall and 20-24 inches wide.

Denser and a more compact habit than typical Coneflowers, this charming, mini-Coneflower is a true dwarf! Echinacea is known for its large flower heads and this little bloomer may not be large, but they are prolific! Pixie is a great choice for cut flowers and pollinators.

Pixie Meadowbrite™ was developed by Dr. Jim Ault of the Chicago Botanic Garden. Not only is it a prized perennial for many gardeners, but it is also said to be a potent medicine! Echinacea is said to increase the immune function of the body! If you leave the Coneflower seed heads on the plant at the end of the season, they will provide winter interest and food for native songbirds.

Planting and Application:

This eye-catching show will draw your attention! As the name implies its petite size makes this plant perfect for decorative containers as thrillers or in mixed planters as cheerful pink accents! Tuck Pixie into your garden beds in the sun to add their long-lasting, space-saving beauty from summer until autumn!

These Coneflowers can be used as accent plants or in mixed borders, open woodlands, and mass plantings, handling xeric sites and pampered Cottage gardens alike! These little gems look darling along your garden borders as edging or as vivid groupings in courtyards! Hardy enough for Rock Gardens, Coneflower are must-haves for your Butterfly garden too!

  • Petite Pink Petals & Raised Orange Domes
  • Space-Saving Green Mounds & Repeat Blooms
  • Pollinator-Friendly & Great Cut Flowers!
  • Fantastic in Containers & Smaller Gardens
  • Mini Specimens, Thrillers, Accents & Borders

#ProPlantTips for Care:

These dwarf Coneflowers retain their native perennial hardiness and grow best in full sun, and well-drained soil, and only need moderate moisture access. Once established, Coneflowers are Xeric but appreciate supplemental moisture during drought and prolonged heat. Provide a 3-4 inch deep layer of arborist mulch around your plants and include Nature Hills Root Booster at the time of planting for life-long root support.

Keep them Deadheaded and they will bloom all summer and often well into fall! Divide perennial clumps about every 3 to 4 years and prune back the mounds in the early spring.

  • Full Sun Perennials
  • Moderate Moisture Access
  • Any Well-Drained Soil & Regular Fertility
  • Prune Early Spring, Deadhead For More Blooms
  • Deer Resistant & Drought Tolerant

Sweet and petite, the Pixie Meadowbrite™ Coneflower will boost your garden cheer without taking up as much space! Order yours today at Nature Hills before this great dwarf Echinacea is gone!
