Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Tulips do best bathed in sunshine and rival the sun's radiance! Tulip Bulbs appreciate afternoon shade in warmer hardiness zones where the sun is intense. Any soil type is suitable so long as it is not soggy. Plant in the ground with pointed ends up 3 times as deep as the bulbs are tall. Fall-planted bulbs need well-drained soil with moderate moisture needs. Add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results. Deadhead after flowers fade, but let the leaves remain so they can make food for the bulb and next year's flowers!
- Full Sun For Strongest Growth
- Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate Moisture Needs
- Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune Mounds After Leaves Yellow
- Deer Seldom Bother Them
Romantic and whimsical, pure white and buttery yellow, the Popcorn Double Tulip will dance throughout your spring gardens this year, but only if you order soon from Nature Hills! Nature Hills will ship your bulbs based on the correct planting time for your growing zone!
