Well-drained soils and consistent moisture are also key for producing large, healthy Strawberry crops. It is best when you snip off their runners the first year. When the second year comes around, you can snip and replant your rooted runners elsewhere each spring.
The Sequoia Strawberry plant is incredibly resistant to nasty diseases like powdery mildew. Not to mention, it is very heat-resistant, which makes this variety fabulous for the Southern states. Clean the mounds or beds in the early spring to remove old foliage.
