Sedums are one of the most underused plants in the world! For an especially hard-working and pretty Sedum, look no further than Blue Spruce Stonecrop (Sedum reflexum 'Blue Spruce'). It has small blue-green leaves that look like they belong on a Christmas tree!
In early summer, they carry yellow flowers high above the foliage for many weeks. Much to the delight of every bee and butterfly in the area! These nectar-rich star-shaped flowers arrive in clusters, lasting well into the fall in many areas!
They are semi-evergreen to evergreen in mild winter areas of USDA growing zones 3 through 11. But in cold climates, Creeping Sedum, also known as Stonecrop, are reliable perennial plants! Growing just a few inches tall, but Blue Spruce Sedum spread about 18 inches tall!
