Easy to grow Magnolias flower and grow best in full sun, needing at least 6 hours of direct sunlight a day. Plant in about any kind of well-drained soil that is organically rich and slightly acidic. Moderate yet regular moisture access is important, especially for young trees, but once established they become self-sustaining, only needing supplemental moisture during prolonged drought.
