Choose a site with full sun and well-drained soil to get your tree off on the right foot (er… root?) and then watch this moderately fast grower take off! Give new trees regular waterings until established, but once they are, Elms are very drought tolerant and handle urban conditions and pollution with ease. Prune if needed in late winter to correct its form when young.
