Ice in the summer! The gleaming and shimmery Ice Carnival Reblooming Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Ice Carnival') displays bold creamy ivory-white trumpet-shaped flowers with soft yellow throats. Further enhanced by slightly curled and rippled petals, this fragrant Daylily blooms all summer long and provides excellent bouquets for your favorite vase!

The tall flower stalks are held 28-32 inches high atop a low mound of grassy leaves that remain green in color throughout the season. The tall scapes and multiple buds that each take a turn opening for a single day makes Ice Carnival a great choice for attracting butterflies and Hummingbirds! The nearly bridal-white blooms light up the floral arrangement and you'll love their pleasing scent! Plus the blooms return in waves, sometimes until fall!

This cold and heat-hardy herbaceous perennial diploid thrives throughout USDA hardiness zones 3 to 9 without much bothering them in the way of soil issues, deer, or pests! Forming spreading clumps up to 24 inches wide, the foliage is relatively disease-free and low maintenance for beauty all growing season long!

Planting and Application:

These icy blooms light up the summer sun garden and look fantastic paired with variegated and white-flowering perennials and shrubs! Enhance an evergreen foundation planting or hedge with a row of these low-maintenance spreading perennials as facer plants, or pop groupings into Cottage, pollinator, and Perennial borders to add a fragrant cool and calming element!

The radiant white and yellow blooms are as perfect for sun gardens, in Moon Gardens and Cutting Gardens, as their resilient nature is perfect in Rock Gardens along driveways and the roadside hell strip! Add fringe along the edges of garden beds to ease the transition between lawn and garden or along the sides of a walkway or path!

Daylilies are so bullet-proof that they are highly recommended for Xeric and Firewise landscapes, for poor soil locations, on slopes to hold back erosion, and filling out large swaths of ground en masse to create a radiant spectacle where a hard-to-mow hillside or patch of bare ground once lay! As lovely as Ice Carnival is as massed plantings, it's also a fantastic small-scale accent for courtyards, smaller urban lots, and in containers and planters on your porch or patio!

  • Icy Ivory-White Flowers & Pale Yellow Throats
  • Mounds of Arching Green Foliage
  • Fragrant Cut Flower & Attracts Pollinators
  • Firewise & Xeric Landscaping
  • Blooms All Summer!
  • Versatile & Adaptable Specimen, Accent Groupings, En Masse & Containers

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Ice Carnival is relatively trouble-free perennial and grows in almost any soil, as long as it is well-drained and in full sun areas, or partial shade/afternoon shade in the hottest of its favored climates. Plant in mulched garden beds with 3-4 inches of arborist bark chips and enriched well-drained soil for best results. Provide new plants with moderate moisture on a regular basis, but once established, Daylilies are drought and occasionally soggy soil adaptable.

Deadhead to encourage rebloom, then trim the entire scape to the crown of the plant once all the buds are spent to clean up the mound. In late autumn after frost, remove all foliage to the ground and dispose of it away from the site to prevent rusts and diseases from overwintering. It's recommended to divide the clumps every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of the blooms begin to decline.

  • Maintenance Free in Full Sun
  • Adaptable in Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture - Low Once Established
  • Prune Late Fall, Deadhead Regularly & Divide Every 3-5 Years
  • Seldom Bothered By Deer, Rabbits, Salt & Pests

Icy fragrant blooms and resilient adaptable nature, the Ice Carnival Daylily will light up your garden no matter where you set them loose upon your landscape! Order yours today at Nature Hills!
