Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Growing Zones
So fun and fruity! The Passion Fruit Calla Lily (Zantedeschia 'Passion Fruit') is a tropical-looking blend of luscious yellow, peachy pink, and orange top to bottom and through and through! The sculpted blooms are a single-scrolled petal with a calyx in the center.
The flowers rise on tall stems over equally dramatic foliage! The pointed leaves are dark green with silvery speckles, growing into showy upright clumps that spread slowly by underground rhizome-like bulbs.
Passion Fruit Calla Lily is hardy in USDA growing zones 8 through 10 and can be treated as annuals, or tender perennials and houseplants in northern growing zones. Once it gets too cold, the foliage makes these ideal houseplants. Their easy care makes them bright and cheerful gift plants for any occasion!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
An easy-care perennial rhizome, Calla Lilies loves soaking up the sun but also handles partial shade. Natives to southern and central Africa, these perennials enjoy moist to wet soil and higher humidity. Water your Calla Lily regularly, especially while in containers and newly planted in the ground!
Plant your rhizomes in the spring if you live in frost-free climates 8 to 10, but northern growers can plant these in the winter as forced bulbs, or in the spring outdoors after the threat of frost has passed. Cold climate gardeners can also dig these rhizomes in fall and store them as they would Canna bulbs, keeping them in cool storage in garages or sheds for the winter months.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Well-Drained Soil
- Tolerates Moderate to Moist Locations
- Prune After Foliage Yellows
- Deer Resistant
- Annual in Northern Climates
