Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delight yourself and your guests with the impossibly pretty blooms of Boulevard® Alaina Clematis (Clematis 'Evipo056'). At each stage of growth, the bubble gum pink flowers with dark pink bars capture the imagination and draw the eye.
Exceptionally showy blooms make their entrance from late spring through early summer. After a brief intermission for light deadheading; the flower power takes the stage again in late summer and plays through early fall.
On this flowering Clematis, the first welcome blooms of the season are developed from last year's wood. The fall blooms are borne on this year's growth.
Petite Alaina is an early reblooming patio variety with vibrant blooms. Watch in fascination as the buds open rosy red, then age to classic bubblegum with dark midribs.
Full-size flowers are composed of six rounded sepals with pointed tips. A cute pom-pom of splayed stamens punctuates the centers.
This sassy, sweet perennial vine stays fit and trim. The compact length works beautifully in containers for your patio or deck.
Train them up around a center support as a "Thriller", or fit two or three around the edge to gracefully "Spill" over the sides. Study them up close and personal!
This Barbie-pink beauty is charming and sophisticated, never cloying. She'll make any partner look good!
Boulevard Alaina Clematis is an impactful accent plant that comes back year after year with the proper planting site and care. Order yours today for a gorgeous start—and finish—to your season.
How to Use Boulevard® Alaina Clematis in the Landscape
Enjoy the experience of growing Clematis vines. They add tremendous visual interest in a tiny footprint.
Alaina's leaf stems twine best around a thin wire frame. Place a decorative trellis in a large container and cover with landscape wire.
Pro tip: install the support before you plant her! Ensure these long-lived beauties have room to achieve their full height and spread.
They look incredible growing up and over a wooden tuteur or tower near the front of a mixed border. Garden objects like this deliver year-round structure.
On a larger scale, these cuties make excellent partners with Climbing Roses. Plant Alaina at the feet of seductive, dark red Don Juan.
Keep things light-hearted with a mix of bi-colored Cupid's Kisses and Alaina. Tie the Rose to a gazebo, and allow Alaina to clamber up the sturdy canes.
Another unique idea is to decorate a mass planting of groundcover plants. Turn up the flower appeal of Gro-Low Sumac or Ground Hog Aronia. You'll love the look!
#ProPlantTips for Care
Site your Clematis where the leaves get full sun, but the roots are in shade. Mulch over the root system to keep it nice and cool, but please pull it back from directly touching the stems.
Consistent water is important, but the soil needs to be well-drained. You can create a raised planting bed or use a container if you have soggy soil long after it rains.
Be patient with Alaina the first year in your landscape. She's working to develop her tiny feeder roots, so include Nature Hills Root Booster for a life-long symbiotic support system. Our growers swear by it!
After the first few seasons, begin pruning in spring as it comes out of dormancy. Shorten up any dead tops at that time, and leave the live portions.
Once the first flush of blooms is past, snip them off. This small task encourages the fall flowers...it's worth the two minutes!
How pleased you'll be with this free-flowering small vine. Order Boulevard Alaina Clematis for an astounding amount of blooms!
