Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones
The Winky Sedum (Sedum 'Winky') is a perennial with thick, succulent variegated gray-green foliage, topped by new foliage that is splotched pink and cream. The fleshy stems form low-growing small clumps that creep across the ground in a dense mat. Summer brings clusters of pink flowers the pollinators will love!
Sedums, also commonly known as Stonecrop, are highly xeric and a dependable choice for the garden that offers foliage interest early in the season and a colorful flower display later!
Winky Sedum is a Dwarf Succulent and grows USDA growing zones 4 to 8 and only grows 18-28 inches tall when in bloom and can spread 18-28 inches wide. Highly xeric and easy to grow, these tough little plants are low-maintenance once established!
Planting and Application:
Winky Sedum are perfectly happy decorating Rock Gardens, or spilling down the top of a retaining wall. Sedums are also great for water-wise, Xeriscape gardens. Give them water to get them established, and they'll thrive for you, even in low-water situations.
Sedums are the best solution for hard-to-plant banks, steep slopes, and that dusty garden spot that bakes in the sun. They can be planted closer for a faster carpet of color and the fabulous bold color really draws the eye.
Don't have a yard? No problem! Try planting them in a container for your balcony or deck! These little Sedums are fantastic houseplants too! They are perfect for that one container you have that doesn't get watered as often as it should, too. Use them as a lovely "filler" at the edge of all of your exterior container plantings. They'll naturally spill over the side of the pot to give a lovely effect.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
This easy-care low-maintenance perennial does best in full sun all day long! Indoors, give Sedum a bright indirectly sunny window. Provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight in all but the hottest climates. If you are in Zone 9, consider planting in a location that receives light shade in the afternoon.
Perfect for beginning gardeners, Sedum is easy to grow in average, dry to medium, fast-draining soil. No need to amend the soil during planting. Provide a moderate amount of water on a regular basis throughout its first year in your landscape or container. Ease off on the supplemental water after the first year.
Prune the mounds back evenly in the very early spring, before you see new growth emerging. All plants appreciate a 3-4 inch thick layer of arborist mulch around their roots. Other than that, no special care is required for these low-growing perennials! For indoor plants, trim off leggy growth or pinch back to create branching and fullness, and remove dead foliage and broken stems as needed.
- Full Sun
- Very Well-Drained Soils
- Moderate to Low Moisture
- Trim Back In Early Spring (As Needed Indoors)
- Very Low-Maintenance & Drought-Tolerant
