Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
The Whirlwind Japanese Anemone loves clay, acidic soil, and damp areas as long as they don't sit in water for prolonged periods. It thrives in moist but well-drained regions of the yard. It also performs well in full sun or partial shade. Provide regular moisture access for perennials in more sun, in drier conditions, and in hotter growing zones to keep them growing their best.
Once established, the Whirlwind Japanese Anemone doesn't need much care and can be left to do its thing. All they need from you is some deadheading after the flowers fade and pruning down the foliage mounds in the spring before new growth emerges.
Because Japanese Anemones can spread by way of underground roots, they can form large clumps and colonies. To keep clumps growing vigorously and to contain their growth, it is recommended you divide every 3-5 years.
- Sun to Part Shade
- Well-Drained Soil
- Moderate to Higher Moisture
- Prune Early Spring
- Not High On Deer Nibble List
It's easy to see why the Whirlwind Japanese Anemone won the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. And while it didn't let the honor and prestige of this award go to its head, you will catch it dancing and swaying proudly in the breeze.
Are you ready for a whirlwind romance? If you want to add height, late summer, and fall drama to your garden, you need Whirlwind Japanese Anemones from NatureHills.com!
