Dark and mysterious foliage with bold blooms, it's easy to add a touch of mystery and enticing color saturation to your landscape with the distinct hues of Touchdown™ Teak Sedum (Sedum x 'Teak')! Featuring succulent, waxy foliage that is an intriguing deep, dark, brooding red-brown to purple!
Glossy foliage adds to the intrigue as does brighter red new growth. Colorfast and stout, these flowering ornamentals are able to stand up to the full sun without shrinking, fading, or flopping! Forming a dense upright mound that adds immense drama to any garden, Touchdown™ has a clump-forming growth habit and thick, sturdy stems in brilliant deep-red! These adaptable, hardy perennials bloom from late summer through autumn!
Touchdown™'s flower heads have equally dense growth and emerge a pale green cluster that matures to deep rose-red flower clusters the pollinators won't be able to resist! Their summer bloom time doesn't let up until fall frost! Then the blooms dry on the plant for winter interest and you can prune these off for a clean winter appearance, and use them as fresh cut flowers, or leave them for both winter interest or food for songbirds!
Heat and cold-hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9, there is very little that fazes this highly adaptable herbaceous perennial! Generally growing to 15 - 19 inches tall and about as wide, these compact perennial Stonecrops provide vertical and structural interest among other garden plants. Easy to grow, Sedum are perfect for gardeners of all experience levels!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Full sun perennials like Touchdown™ Teak Sedum, tolerate heat and sun all day without fail. Handling some part sun in hotter climates, you will get the best color, strongest stems, and the most blooms in 6 hours or more of sunlight. Not particular about soil type, Stonecrop prefers average moisture and any kind of well-drained soil, and can also tolerate poor or rocky soils with ease. In fact, Sedum grown in organically rich soil are actually lanky and weak-stemmed.
Provide a 3-4 inch thick layer of arborist mulch for best results. Otherwise, these pest and disease-free, deer and rabbit-resistant plants require very little maintenance. Just prune the plant each spring to remove dead stems close to the ground, and every 3-5 years divide the clump to maintain vigor.
- Easy Care & Low Maintenance in Full Sun
- Thrives in Almost Any Well-Drained Soil Type
- Low Moisture Needs & Drought Tolerant Once Established
- Prune Down Early Spring & Divide Every 3-5 Years
- Cold & Heat Hardy, Deer & Rabbit Resistant, Salt & Drought Tolerant
For heat and sun-loving plants that are sure to score a goal in your landscape, you will love this Touchdown™ Teak Sedum! Order yours from Nature Hills Nursery today and earn some points in your neighborhood!
