Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

Sweet Invitation Hyacinth (Hyacinthus 'Sweet Invitation') features gorgeous tall spires of full bell-shaped juicy peach blooms that smell as sweet as can be! These gorgeous spring blossoms brighten and perfume your garden beds and borders with delightful creamy flowers and clumps of upright green foliage!

Hyacinths are bulbous plants closely related to the Lily family. Hyacinth bulbs may not be the earliest emerging spring ephemeral flowers, but they are the most dramatic! Upright green foliage frames these vertical flower clusters

Sweet Invitation is hardy throughout USDA growing zones 4 to 9 and grows 8-12 inches tall, spreading politely to form little colonies in the sunny garden bed. These fast-growing fall-planted flowering bulbs attract loads of early-emerging pollinators but deer and rodents seldom bother with them.

Planting and Application:

Sweet Invitation Hyacinths bridge the gap between Crocus and Tulips, these giant wands of flowers rise up from the center of strappy rosettes of green each year! Great throughout any garden bed or border, these are low-growing edging and look fantastic in groupings throughout Rock Gardens, pollinator beds, and around the base of larger trees, shrubs, and structures!

These are darlings in protected containers and planters outside or as forced indoor décor! The flowers look lovely in spring bouquets too! These peachy dream boats look gorgeous among white, pink, and lavender/blue blooms! Mix and match with other spring-flowering bulbs for an incredible display that shakes off the winter doldrums!

  • Early Spring Blooms
  • Upright Clusters of Peach-Tone Blooms
  • Vertical Green Foliage
  • Fragrant Naturalizing Perennial Bulbs
  • Great in Containers, Lawns, Edging & Indoor Forcing

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Hyacinth bulbs perform in full sun for best results and the strongest stems. Fall-planted bulbs need well-drained soil with moderate moisture needs. Any soil type is suitable so long as it is not soggy and add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results. Deadhead after flowers fade, but let the leaves remain so they can make food for the bulb and next year's flowers! Once the foliage yellows in the summer or fall, you can then prune it to the ground.

  • Full Sun For Strongest Growth
  • Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune Mounds After Leaves Yellow
  • Deer Seldom Bother Them

Sweet Invitation Hyacinth is just the sweet-smelling peachy-keen blossoms that light up the garden or your home! Order yours today from Nature Hills and we'll ship quality bulbs to your area at the right planting time!
