Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age

Growing Zones 8-11
Bright bundles of sunny yellow, the Sunshine Butter Cups (Ranunculus 'Sunshine') are exquisite spring blooms! Each corm erupts with several unassuming buds that soon explode into lavish and luxurious flowers that look like a cross between Peonies and Roses! Their petals unfurl in concentric layers upon layers of riveting and refined delicate, papery brilliant yellow petals.
Pollinators adore these blooms and you'll be delighted to watch fat bumblebees and honeybees, and butterflies squeeze themselves between the tightly packed layers! The clumps of mounding parsley-like green foliage are the perfect lacy foil for the lovely blooms.
Sunshine Butter Cups grow phenomenally in zones that don't freeze throughout USDA growing zones 8-11. If you're in a zone that does get frost, you can enjoy your Ranunculuses in containers as annual accents planted after the last frost or lifted before frost and stored like you would Canna or Elephant Ears.
Planting and Application:
Ranunculus liven up the borders along fence lines or as a mass planting, or in groupings. Once the blooms arrive, bees and butterflies appear to sip the nectar and provide you with plenty of cut flowers for decadent bouquet focal points!
Once the blooms arrive, bees and butterflies appear to sip the nectar and provide you with a long-lasting display throughout the late spring/summer weeks! Sunshine Buttercups brightens containers and planters or as filler in sunny window boxes!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Be sure your Ranunculus receives full sun or partial sun and well-drained enriched soil. These spring corms hide once summer heat kicks in, so deadhead after the flowers fade. Later, trim the leaves down when they turn yellow. For best results, soak your corms for three to four hours in room-temperature water then plant them with the finger-like structures facing down about 6 inches in depth. Water them in well and mulch the soil surface.
