Sunlight: Steady Eddy® performs best with six or more hours of direct sun daily. In hotter southern climates (zones 7-8), afternoon shade helps protect blooms and foliage from heat stress. Plants in too much shade will bloom less and lose their tidy, mounding form.

Soil: Prefers moist, well-drained soil with a slightly acidic to neutral pH. Amend heavy clay soils with compost before planting to improve drainage, as viburnum does not tolerate standing water or consistently waterlogged roots. Raised planting beds are a good solution in clay-heavy yards.

Watering Requirements

Water deeply two to three times per week for the first growing season to help roots get established. Once settled in, Steady Eddy® handles average moisture levels well and can tolerate short dry spells, but extended drought will reduce rebloom. Pruning Tips
