To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

While we don't like to play favorites, this summer-bearing Raspberry has a special place in our hearts, along with other gardeners lucky enough to grow it over the past sixty years! The Boyne Raspberry (Rubus idaeus 'Boyne') consistently produces ruby-red berries that shine brightly on canes that do not require staking, despite the over-abundance of berries they hold.
Heavy-producing and cold-hardy! The floricane Boyne Raspberry hails from Canada and has been one of the most popular varieties among home gardeners in the northwest U.S. It thrives in spite of the cold and comes back in spring ready to bear a large crop of brilliant berries. Your bees and butterflies will be grateful for the drifts of white, rose-like flowers in the spring and happily pollinate your bush!
This boisterous berry ripens in early summer and tastes amazing. Each medium-sized berry is remarkably sweet and aromatic. You may consider using bird netting since these bushes not only provide excellent shelter and nesting sites for songbirds, but they swoop in to eat the fruit as well! Luckily, the Boyne Raspberry produces a lot of berries. You will have enough for pies, preserves, salads, desserts, and whatever else you may want to try. After going through your recipe book, you will have plenty to freeze for use later too (plus enough to share with your feathered friends)!
Planting and Application:
Why doesn't the Boyne Raspberry need to be staked? It has dwarf canes that don't get too long to hold themselves up. Don't let any yard space go to waste. #ProPlantTips for Care:
The Boyne Raspberry thrives in full sun or partial shade - the more sun the more fruit! Plant your berry bush in a well-drained, enriched site with a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch chips to hold in moisture and insulate the roots. Provide new shrubs with consistent moisture, then supplemental moisture throughout fruiting and summer for established plants. The Boyne Raspberry may be a top performer when it comes to its berry production, but it also boasts superb disease resistance too!
Pruning Floricane Raspberries
After harvest, cut back older canes to the ground and dream of your impending harvest next year. Remove the canes completely after they have fruited over their entire length to encourage the production of new canes.
