Pretty ruffled rosy-plum purples, creamy peachy pinks, blushes of yellow, and white accents! All wrapped into one gorgeous bloom! The Priscilla Gladiolus (Gladiolus 'Priscilla') is a lovely mixture that includes yellow blushes and white accents! Each on its own vertical flowering spike of gorgeous petals! Gladiolus are florist and pollinator's favorites, plus adding upright texture and waving wands of soothing purple hues!

Also known as Sword Lilies, these incredible ruffled, alternating flowers are held vertical upon stout stems, and accented with erect bright-green sword-like leaves. Forming dense clumps of greenery that bloom midsummer from space-saving perennial, flowering corms! If you want a longer display and more blooms, plant a few corms every two weeks for a staggered bloom all summer!

Pretty Priscilla Gladiolus grows fast from perennial corms and are perennials in USDA growing zones 8-10. Colder growing zones can also use these as annual accents, or dig the corms up in the fall once the foliage has yellowed and store them for the winter in a frost-free location as you would Canna Lily or Elephant Ear bulbs.

Planting and Application:

The ruffled multi-hued blooms of Priscilla Gladiolus flocks of hungry butterflies, bees, and Hummingbirds! The big petals act as juicy landing pads for pollinators, while the clumps easily tuck these space-saving flowering corms into existing and established gardens! Great vertical texture in large mixed-planters, porch and patio pots, or planted as a specimen grouping in a tall, high-style container on either side of your sunny front door!

Any garden becomes a cut flower garden with a few Priscilla Gladiolas and you will love the upscale and vase arrangements with these incredible, long-lasting blooms. In the cottage garden or perennial border, Glads create high-impact drifts and rows in tight spots, groupings in corners, great for lining paths, or in a tidy row or zigzag along a fence line or rock wall.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Priscilla Gladiola corms bloom best in full sun and partial shade in a protected location. For especially windy sites and especially tall stems, support is recommended to keep your blooms from flopping. Plant your corms in well-drained, organically rich soil that has moderate, yet consistent moisture.

Deadhead after the flowers fade and keep the leaves until they turn yellow to make food for the corms. In the fall, lift your bulbs out of the ground and store them in a nylon stocking or brown paper bag in a cool, dry location with good ventilation above freezing. Each year you'll notice more and more little corms forming around the base of the parent corm for more blooms each year!

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Organic Well-Drained Soil
  • Deadhead After Blooms Fade & Prune or Dig in Fall
  • Deer & Rabbit Resistant

The ruffled triple play of color of the Priscilla Gladiolus adds varied and romantic hues and vertical interest to your landscape no matter how large it is! Order your quality bulbs and corms from Nature Hills and we’ll ship your plants right on time for planting in your growing zone!
