Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Gorgeous white to barely-pink blooms, the My Love Gladiolus (Gladiolus 'My Love') has ruffled and frilly petal edges that are striped and streaked in bright raspberry pink! Growing in symmetrical, alternating, and vertical stems produce gorgeous alternating symmetrical blooms that are irresistible landing pads for Butterflies, bees, and Hummingbirds!

These incredible ruffled, alternating flowers are held vertically on stout stems and accented with erect bright-green sword-like leaves. Forming dense clumps of greenery that bloom midsummer from space-saving, flowering corms! If you want a longer display and more blooms, plant a few corms every two weeks beginning in the spring, for a staggered bloom all summer!

These ruffled and romantic blossoms, also known as Sword Lily, grow fast from perennial corms throughout USDA growing zones 8-10. Colder growing zones can still enjoy Gladiola as annual accents or lift the corms up in the fall once the foliage has yellowed and store them for the winter in a frost-free location as you would Canna Lily or Elephant Ear bulbs.

Planting and Application:

Any garden becomes a cut flower garden with a few My Love Gladiolas, and everyone will love the tall, upscale vase arrangements you make with a few of these incredible, long-lasting blooms! Flowering from the bottom up, the spikes can bloom for two weeks!

In the cottage garden or perennial border, Glads create high-impact drifts and rows in tight spots, groupings in corners, great for lining paths, or in a tidy row or zigzag along a fence line or rock wall. This gorgeous color goes well with nearly any and all other flower and foliage colors in the garden. Great vertical texture in large mixed-planters, porch and patio pots, or planted as specimen groupings in tall, high-style containers!

  • Ruffled Incredible Edges Streaked in Raspberry Pink
  • Creamy Barely-There Pink to White Blooms
  • Space-Saving Vertical Growth
  • Easy-Care Summer-Blooming Corms
  • Specimen, Containers, Focal Points, Pollinator & Cut Flower Gardens

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Gladiola corms flower their best in both full sun and partial shade. Provide in a protected location or with adequate support to keep your blooms from flopping. Plant your corms in well-drained, organically rich soil that has moderate, yet consistent moisture.

Deadhead the blooms after they fade and keep the leaves until they turn yellow to make food for the corms. In the fall, lift your bulbs out of the ground and store them in a nylon stocking or brown paper bag in a cool, dry location with good ventilation above freezing. Each year you'll notice more and more little corms forming around the base of the parent corm for more blooms each year!

  • Full Sun & Partial Shade
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Organic Well-Drained Soil
  • Deadhead After Blooms Fade & Prune or Dig in Fall
  • Deer & Rabbit Resistant

Gorgeous ruffled and frilly blooms, the My Love Gladiolus is a romantic addition to your garden, porch and patio containers, bouquets and butterflies! Order your quality bulbs and corms today from NatureHills.com and we will ship them at the right planting time for your growing zone!
