Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.
Standard Shipping Rates
At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes

Growing Zones 8-11
Vivid, trumpet-shaped blooms with an appealing scent, Mixed Four O'Clocks (Mirabilis asst.) bloom abundantly in the summer garden and attract loads of pollinators to your garden! Not just any kind of garden visitor, but the kind that shows up late to the party in the twilight hours of the evening, because that is when these unique white, pink, purple, red, and yellow blooms!
The fragrant colorful blooms, which resemble trumpet-shaped Petunias, attract butterflies and Hummingbirds in the latter part of the afternoon and even Sphinx Moths and night-emerging pollinators! The mounds of pointed green leaves are dense, yet informal clumps.
Mixed Four O'Clocks are hardy perennials throughout USDA growing zones 8 through 11 but are fantastic annuals in all growing zones. Four O'Clocks also freely self-seed, giving you year after year flowers with little to no work for you! Simply deadhead to avoid them spreading where you don't want them popping up in the spring.
Planting and Application:
Especially attractive when used in groupings and allowed to naturalize an area en masse for a free-flowering display! You'll gain a huge pollinator garden full of these abundant wildflowers and mounds of greenery throughout the garden bed and border!
Mixed Four O'Clocks also do well in patio containers and are ideal spillers and fillers in planters and balcony pots in the sun! Use as edging along pathways and your driveway for a wonderful self-sufficient garden accent! Add to a Moon Garden for evening flowers, and Children's Garden so they can watch pollinators show up for their outdoor educational enjoyment!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Four O'Clocks like full sun to part shade, and have moderate water requirements. These flowering accents are deer and rabbit-resistant. Deadhead as the blooms fade unless you wish to have these flowers self-seed for next year. Prune away the foliage after it yellows to the ground.
- Full Sun & Partial Shade
- Moderate Moisture & Fertility
- Enriched Well-Drained Soil
- Deadhead To Prevent Self-Seeding
- Prune After Foliage Yellows
