Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Jump aboard the Edible Landscape trend! Nature Hills makes it easy with this natural dwarf fruiting tree. Grow your own full-size nectarines with the "Pint-Sized" Mini Sol Dorado Nectarine tree (Prunus persica 'Sol Dorado'’).
This special tree is a perfect fit for small space gardening. Grow it in a large container anywhere you have a sunny spot.
Or, take advantage of the many added benefits as a landscape plant. It works even in the smallest properties, and features a wonderfully "shaggy" texture.
You'll love watching it from the fragrant pink clouds of springtime blooms, to your harvest of luscious, healthy fruit. The long leaves look almost tropical, and they are held densely along the branches. Privacy screen, anyone?
Invite your friends over to appreciate the cycle from bloom to fruit. They'll have fun examining your crop with you! In today's modern, convenience-based lifestyle, we've moved away from understanding exactly how our food is grown.
Perhaps that's why there is such an interest in Victory Gardens. It seems like everyone is tucking veggie plants and herbs into their plantings.
Don't forget about fruiting trees! Mini Sol Dorado makes a great addition to your "Food Security" plans. Take advantage of your sunlight and grow your own nectarines.
Enjoy them tree-ripened and fresh picked. The juice will run down your chin! Harvest the rest, slice and freeze them for later.
It's a great feeling knowing that you have food in the freezer, and a tree that can do it all again next year!
Mini Sol Dorado is self-pollinating, so you can get a crop from a single tree. However, for the biggest yield, it appreciates a partner tree or two.
Frankly, these miniature Peach and Nectarine trees are so cute, you'll want more than one, anyway! Let these versatile trees become the starring feature of your garden design.
Between you and I? These tiny trees will likely become a "family plant pet." It is truly easy to love.
Our expert fruit growers take special pride in these wonderful plants. Place your order for Mini Sol Dorado Nectarine just as soon as you see them in stock on our site. This year's crop will be gone before you know it.
How to Use Mini Sol Dorado Nectarine Tree in the Landscape
Use these bushy trees anywhere you have hours of sunlight in your yard. If you can grow them in the ground, try them along your fence with other varieties.
They can be used as a valuable replacement for ornamental hedges. Their dense foliage provides just as much coverage, after all.
Create a hedgerow by planting them in a long row, spaced four feet apart on center. Measure from the center of one to the center of the next. The branches will grow together and touch.
Take that idea and modify it by creating a mulched garden bed behind your patio furniture. Add a double row in a staggered, zigzagging planting pattern. Here, you can expand the spacing out to 8 feet apart.
Enjoy the classic look of a fruit orchard in a much smaller footprint. Plant the rows at least 10 feet apart for plenty of space to harvest.
If you are renting, grow them in containers! Add a row of them along the length of your balcony for excellent privacy and special fruit.
Invite your friends to help you with the harvest!
Here are some tips to see when your nectarines are getting ripe. Watch to see the skin around the neck start to wrinkle a bit. Give one a test squeeze to see if it's getting soft.
You'll love their bright, bold flavor. There is nothing like homegrown fruit!
#ProPlantTips for Care
Nectarines need at least six hours of direct sunlight. Morning sunlight is best to keep your trees healthy. They'll happily take a place in full sun, all day long.
They also require well-drained soil. If your soil retains water, grow them in a raised bed or planting mound. Add additional soil in a mound 12 to 18 inches tall by 3 feet wide for planting.
You'll want to give them good air circulation, too. Plant them at least 10 feet away from your home or other structure.
During the first year, and each year during fruit production, it's important to provide a steady schedule of supplemental water. Be sure to give containerized trees water regularly.
Set up a drip irrigation system to make it easier. Save on water costs by applying a three-inch layer of mulch over the root system.
In late winter, eliminate crossing branches to increase sunlight and air circulation in the canopy. Decide which branch you'll keep and remove the other entirely.
In early spring, give an all-purpose fertilizer for fruiting trees. You can apply an Orchard Spray for fruiting trees, as well. Please follow the directions on the label.
Order Mini Sol Dorado Nectarine from Nature Hills. You'll be thrilled with the quality and convenience of direct shipping these "right-sized" modern fruiting trees. Enjoy!
