Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping

Shipping

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

*If you have found your zone already, it will be highlighted in the table below.

At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Darling fairy hats with a dark blueish-purple stripe! The nodding spires of soft blueish-lavender bells of the Hispanica Blue Hyacinth (Hyacinthus 'Hispanica Blue') are sure to add their wildflower aesthetic to your landscape! Sweetly fragrant and blooming from the bottom up, the bell-shaped florets on their multiple scape-like stems!

These naturally clumping mounds of green foliage hold well into the summer but then do appreciate some protection from later-emerging perennials and shrubs foliage, shading Hyacinths from the summer sun. But until they face, you'll enjoy a fanciful display in your spring ephemeral garden!

Hispanica Blue Hyacinths are clump-forming wild naturalizes easily, and can freely spread throughout the lawn or garden bed - spreading by bulb offsets and seeds! Beloved by pollinators, eager bees, and butterflies will flock to these blooms for nectar and pollen every spring! Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 3 to 8, these 12-24 inch tall blossoms are adaptable and cold-hardy!

Planting and Application:

Hispanica Blue Hyacinth is perfect for children's gardens where they look perfect for a fairy! Feeding pollinators and giving you loads of Cut Flowers that are scented and easy to grow! Intersperse them throughout the lawn for delightful naturalized drifts in the spring that you can mow once the blooms have faded.

Use Hispanica Blue bulbs to add spring color at the woodland edge, as a naturalizing groundcover under deciduous trees, or left to mingle throughout the perennial garden, in Rock gardens, woodland gardens, borders, beds, or even pots and planters!

  • Light Lavender-Blue Bell-Shaped Florets With Darker Stripes
  • Dangling Clusters of Upright Stems
  • Fragrant & Free Flowering
  • Readily Naturalizing & Forms Colonies
  • Woodland & Garden Beds & Borders, Pots & Planters

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Plant your Hyacinths in full or partial sun in the fall for spring blooms with the strongest stems! Fall-planted bulbs need well-drained soil with moderate moisture needs. Any soil type is suitable so long as it is not soggy and add bulb fertilizer to each hole for best results. Deadhead after flowers fade, but let the leaves remain so they can make food for the bulb and next year's flowers! Once the foliage yellows in the summer or fall, you can then prune it to the ground.

  • Full Sun For Strongest Growth
  • Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture Needs
  • Deadhead After Flowers Fade & Prune Mounds After Leaves Yellow
  • Deer Seldom Bother Them

Hispanica Blue Hyacinths are unique perennial bulbs that freely disperse their lavender-blue bells throughout your landscape! Hurry and order yours today from Nature Hills and we'll ship your bulbs based on the correct planting time for your growing zone!
