To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills sells a large variety of plants with several options available. Plants are offered in both potted containers and as dormant bare root without soil. Here is a helpful resource to understand your options as you create a beautiful landscape with help from Nature Hills.

Seasonally, Nature Hills offers hand selected, high quality bare root trees, shrubs and perennials. Bare root plants are sold by height from the top of the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may be taller than the height minimums.

The Golden Torch Barberry (Berberis thunbergii 'Golden Torch') refuses to fade into the background! This lime green vertical beauty starts out tinted bright orange in the spring, transitioning to chartreuse or lime green for the summer, before bursting with an orange-gold color come fall!
Growing to a modest 3-4 feet in height with a tapered top when left to grow on its own, this columnar Barberry only grows 18-20 inches wide! Hardy throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 8, these are adaptable shrubs that pack a lot of color into a small, low-maintenance package!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Barberry need well-drained soil for best results and for the most color, plant them in as much sun as possible. Any location with at least 5-6 hours of sun a day works. Highly adaptable to a wide range of soil types, new Barberry bushes do need regular water during their first growing season in the ground.
Pruning is not required unless changing shape or overall size. Wear leather gloves when working with Barberry, and just snip anything sticking out wild. Every 3-5 years, you can renewal prune by removing the oldest, fattest stems and allowing younger, more colorful stems to take over.
While it is true that while some Barberry cultivars are invasive in some areas, they may not be invasive in all areas. So Nature Hills has taken the initiative to develop our own compliance company called Plant Sentry™ so that you will not be able to even purchase a plant that your state has prohibited because of invasiveness, insects, or disease. Plants may be available on our website, but if your state prohibits that plant from being shipped to you, the sale will not go through.
