Cold-hardy and heat-tolerant in USDA growing zones 4-9, and growing to a 2-foot-tall upright herbaceous perennial that spreads to a tidy mound also 24 inches wide. Perennial Veronica are easy-to-grow and flower best in full sun in well-drained soil locations. Veronica has the most vigor when it gets plenty of water during the growing season to stay perfectly happy in the heat. Top off with 3-4 inches of arborist mulch for moisture retention and insulation. Deadhead the blooms as soon as they fade to encourage new blooms to form. In late autumn, once the foliage dies back after frost, you can prune the mound to remove excess debris.
