Give your garden a burst of beautiful energy with the outstanding double yellow blooms of Easy Elegance® High Voltage Shrub Rose (Rosa 'BAIage'). Take delight in their bright, fragrant flowers that start amplifying your garden in late spring and rebloom all the way through fall! Watch as the tight, rich yellow buds unfurl to reveal an exceptional depth of golden color that finally ages into a mellow buttercream.
A bouquet of these special Roses will wake you up faster than coffee. High Voltage carries clusters of bright, fragrant blooms on very sturdy canes. This award-winning cultivar performs very well in the garden and your vases! Even the delicate stamens are yellow! Just wait until you see butterflies and many others come to take nectar again and again!
You'll literally grow "living sunlight" with these lavish yellow blooms that are held at the end of the upright canes. The lush foliage fills out all the way to the ground in a lovely vase-shaped habit, so there is no need for a facer plant at the base - this also makes High Voltage perfect for privacy and property-defining thorny deterrents.
Modern breeding techniques have created this hybrid Shrub Rose making it possible to enjoy the classic beauty by crossing it with a Hybrid Tea Rose without high maintenance requirements! These impeccable yellow Roses are still as beautiful as hybrid teas, but now you'll have more time to enjoy them without a rigorous schedule of spraying.
All of the Easy Elegance® line of Roses features glossy dark green foliage and months of blooms. They also are so easy to care for. They're disease resistant, as well as very cold and heat tolerant throughout USDA growing zones 4 through 9.
Planting and Application:
How can you possibly feel down or dejected with the electrifying flower power of High Voltage Roses nearby? Add them where you have full sun to create a wonderful jolt of visual interest. Breathe new life into your landscape with one or more High Voltage Roses from Nature Hills. These excellent plants look great massed in a group or repeated in your mixed garden beds.
They can also be grown as a fantastic "Thriller" in oversized outdoor containers. Make an impact, and bring smiles to all who see it. Keep them in a stylish matched series of containers along your patio. Use one on a balcony, or portico, allowing enough room for people to walk by without snagging clothes on the thorns.
These durable and easy-care cuties look great as an informal flowering hedge for privacy and screening to the ground to 4-5 feet in height. For a solid screen, plant them 18 inches apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next. Incorporate them into your shrub border or perennial beds. Plant in a gentle zig-zag for a wonderfully organic "ribbon" of saturated color.
Add a classic, cheery look with a long row in front of a white picket fence. Plant them on the sunny side of evergreen privacy trees to soften and brighten up their stalwart appearance. They partner well with many other flowering plants.
Modernize your foundation planting the easy way! Prune back overgrown evergreens, and add High Voltage Roses on either side of your front door to step up the curb appeal of your home. Create a showy backdrop in a Butterfly Garden, or plant them on the south side of incredible Hydrangeas to provide the required afternoon shade.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Easy Elegance® Roses are grown on their own roots and offer extremely high performance, even in tough conditions. For the most blooms, these Roses need plenty of sunshine, at least six or more hours a day. The best planting site is one that gets plenty of morning sun. Ensure the soil drains quickly after rainfall. Roses will not tolerate standing water, so elevate them in a raised planting bed to improve drainage. Proper airflow is a great idea to keep your Roses happy and healthy!
We highly recommend Nature Hills Root Booster when planting long-lived Roses. It never wears out, but rather develops a symbiotic relationship with the feeder roots to help them access micronutrients from the soil. Apply a moderate amount of water at the base of the plant regularly. Feed your Rose bush a slow-release fertilizer in both early spring and mid-summer. Add a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch for year-round benefits!
In late fall, bag all leaf litter out from underneath the plant. Prune in early spring each year, cutting all of the stems down to eight inches. It is naturally resistant to both black spot and mildew. Read about pruning Roses Here, and about winterizing Roses here, and un-wintering Roses in spring in our #ProPlantTips Garden Blog!
