Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Beautiful and tough as nails! A combo unexpected in a perennial, however, Dropmore Ornamental Catmint (Nepeta faassenii 'Dropmore') has what it takes to survive and look good doing it!
Forming dense mounds with plenty of branching, Dropmore smothers itself in scalloped leaves. Rising above the mounding sage-green, soft, fuzzy, and herbal-scented foliage, this Catmint shoots up numerous spikes of unearthly lavender-blue flowers! Then comes the butterflies, native and honeybees, fat bumblebees, and Hummingbirds!
Thriving in nearly all conditions, these repeat bloomers flower all summer - longer with regular deadheading! These perennials love the sun and both cold and heat throughout USDA planting zones 4 to 9! Spanning most of the US, these plants are incredibly hardy, easy to grow, and Water-wise, great for Xeriscaping and a great part of Firescaping design plans!
Planting and Application:
Hardy and airy, Dropmore is perfect for residential and commercial sites, planted in swaths of color on slopes, roadside hell strips, or large drifts where nothing else grows. Freely naturalizing, Catmint is beautiful en masse! Fill hard-to-mow sunny slopes and eroding hillsides with these vigorous yet politely spreading perennials!
Your Wildflower and Pollinator gardens will be fluttering with wings! Your bouquets will be brimming with lovely lavender flowers from your Cut Flower gardens, and Dropmore is ornamental enough for mixed Perennial and Rock Gardens, Cottage, and Sensory beds, as well as borders along pathways.
Fantastic garden edging, line your driveway in lacy lavender and sage green! These are wonderful foot-tall facer plants and front-of-the-garden accents, but look best in groupings and winding ribbons throughout your sun gardens!
Dropmore is adaptable enough for Roof Gardens, City and Urban plantings in containers, and large planters too! Rarely bothered by deer and rabbits due to the aromatic leaves, you'll love snipping a few for potpourri and cat treats (it has the same effect as closely related Catnip when dried!)
- Spikes of Airy Lavender-Blue Flowers
- Soft Gray-Green Leaves
- Fragrant Top to Bottom!
- Mounding, Bushy Perennial
- Hummingbird, Bee & Butterfly Friendly
- Great Edging, Containers, Sun-Gardens & Harsh Conditions
- Water-wise, Xeriscaping, & Firescaping!
#ProPlantTips For Care
Full sun plants, Dropmore thrives on neglect! Tolerant of afternoon shade or part shade in hotter growing zones. Poor, rocky, gravel, drought, pollution, or clay - plant without any worry in any type of well-drained soil! Pest and disease-resistant, not much will faze this incredibly versatile and adaptable Perennial - except wet soil! Provide mulched beds to help keep moisture in the soil and insulate the roots. Water enough to establish new plants, then let nature take its course.
Deadhead after the first wave blooms to encourage a second flush, and again in late winter to clean up the mounds and limit self-seeding.
- Ornamental Full Sun & Part Shade Perennial
- All Soil Types Except Wet - Tolerant of Harsh Conditions
- Moderate to Low Moisture - Drought Tolerant
- Deadhead For Rebloom & Prune Back Mounds Late Autumn/Early Spring
