These spring corms hide once summer heat kicks in, so deadhead after the flowers fade but keep the foliage to make food for the corm. Later, trim the leaves down when they turn yellow. For best results, soak your Ranunculus corms for three to four hours in room-temperature water. Plant the warm weather corms with the finger-like structures pointed down, about 6 inches in depth and water them in.
