To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Bare Root Plants
Bare root plants are sold by height from the root system to the top of the plant. Plants may exceed minimum height requirements.

- Shrubs & Perennials: 1 foot, 18 inches, 2 feet

Give it bright light that is slightly filtered. Place it at an angle away from the streaming sunlight. Or, use a sheer curtain to shield the leaves from getting sunburned. If you need to use in a lower light situation, consider adding additional grow lights.
Rotate your plant each week a quarter of a turn. This will help all the pretty leaves receive the same amount of light. For larger plants, use a wheeled caster underneath to protect your back.
Dieffenbachia asks for very little in return. They’ll survive “newbie” level of care and lower light settings.
They love humidity. We bet you’ll love the meditative practice of gently misting your plants several times a week. Or, push the easy button by keeping an air diffuser or humidifier nearby.
Don’t overwater the Dieffenbachia. As the top of the soil gets dry (touch it to see!), add a moderate amount of water. Watch to make sure water doesn’t sit in the saucer. Add pebbles to the saucer to lift the plant up and away from any potential for trouble.
Like many tropicals, this plant is best kept away from kids and pets. Teach them not to bother your houseplants.
