The Alabama Jubilee Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Alabama Jubilee') boasts spectacular 7" flowers which are fluorescent red-orange with a brighter red halo and greenish-gold throat. This remarkable Daylily is an excellent grower with healthy pest-resistant foliage and sturdy scapes with over 25 buds each! You'll love having this rich color in the landscape and indoors in your bouquets!

The blooms of the Alabama Jubilee appear in early to mid-season and put on a spectacular show for over four weeks. Light ruffles define the edges of the blooms, and a delightful scent can be noted. Hummingbirds will arrive to check out these long petals and sip their nectar, while butterflies and fat bumblebees will wriggle into the trumpet-like blooms too!

The Alabama Jubilee Daylily can be grown throughout the United States, in wide-ranging growing zones 3-9. Harvest the blooms and bring them indoors, as they make a perfect cut flower for floral arrangements! Growing 24-30 inches in height and spreading 18-24 inches wide at maturity, these space-saving perennials are the new and busy gardeners' dream!

Planting and Application:

Use this Daylily variety for stand-alone plantings, adding vibrant rich color to Cottage Gardens, Rock Gardens, and mixed perennial beds as edging! Perfect along pathways and borders! Add fringe around a trellis, urn, the mailbox, or add grace over the tops of retaining walls and along sidewalks, without worry that salt spray or some mild foot traffic will hurt them.

The perfect size for adding spiller and filler greenery and vivid color to mixed containers and tubs. Daylily are fantastic to create defensive zones in fire-prone areas and brighten xeric landscapes up and the fleshy roots store loads of water. Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful groundcover and erosion control.

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Alabama Jubilee can handle winter cold in the north and the summer sun in the south. Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener. They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. Plant in full sun and provide moderate moisture while establishing, and after give your plants supplemental moisture during the worst of drought. Add a 3-4 inch thick layer of arborist mulch over the soil surface for best results!

Deadhead to encourage a rebloom that lasts for weeks during the summer until the fall. Once the foliage dies back to the ground in the autumn, trim back the leaves and top with compost or refresh the mulch for the winter. Divide plants every few years to keep the clump size healthy and stress-free.

  • Cold & Heat Hardy Tolerant Variety
  • Blooms Best in Full Sun
  • Widely Adaptable - Any Well-Drained Soil
  • Moderate Moisture - Low Once Established
