This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

Growing Zones 6-10
Superb shade shrub that boasts waxy, variegated leaves, the Daphne Marianni® Flowering Shrub (Daphne odora 'Rogbret') will wow you with its impressive looks! A heat-tolerant broadleaf evergreen shrub, Marianni® can't help being beautiful. Fragrant pinky-purple flowers bloom in early spring from darker pink buds and attract loads of pollinators to your garden!
Cunning creamy yellow edges run along the margins of each glossy deep green leaf for a big impact. This Daphne variety holds its leaves densely and in a nice round shape as it grows into a sweet, tidy ball with minimal pruning. The leaves look fantastic when the round flower clusters of pink buds burst open into lighter pink, sweetly fragrant four-petaled blossoms!
Southern and West Coast homeowners, rejoice! You can plant as a rounded broadleaved evergreen and enjoy it year around. Or, use Marianni® as an annual in Zones 2 - 5 containers as large thrillers! Beautifully lustrous leaves remain evergreen throughout USDA growing zones 6 to 10 as long as the temperature remains above zero degrees in wintertime. Otherwise, it will behave like a deciduous plant, the leaves will drop and reappear in springtime!
Planting and Application:
Use this eye-catching shrub as a single specimen, or plant multiples in a gentle curve to highlight a special garden bed. This shrub is excellent when paired with Camellias and other shade plants. Use them as cunning modern foundation plants. Decorate patios with a wonderfully fresh, fruity-floral scent!
Shady shrub borders need these year-round green superstars! Use this mid-sized 3-4 foot ball of color in mixed borders or as a standout accent row that adds property definition and screening all year long! Groups or rows of these lovelies add year-round interest and texture to garden beds and borders without any work from you!
Container gardens need a special standout plant to act as a "thriller". Plant in high-profile areas where the evergreen foliage will add delight to your landscape, and the intoxicating scent offers a wonderful welcome. Try a pair flanking your front door, or run a short hedge of them along your walkway.

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Growing fantastic in full shade and partial/dappled shade gardens, Daphne needs well-draining soils. Support the roots with Nature Hills Root Booster and an application of phosphorus-rich bone meal. Like Azaleas, you'll want to plant the root ball high, keeping an inch or two of the nursery soil showing. Pull a 3-4 inch layer of wood mulch up and over to cover. Pull it back so that it doesn't touch the stems.
Provide new plants with consistent moderate moisture, but established plants can handle less watering except in prolonged drought. Daphne can easily get overwatered so, use the "Finger Test" to determine when to water. Prune after the first main flush of flowers is finished to shape, as needed. Keep it smaller at that time with tip-pruning back to an outward-facing bud.
- Full Shade & Partial Shade Tolerant!
- Moderate, Regular Moisture Needs
- Requires Very Well-Drained Soils
- Prune Immediately After Flowering
- Deer Seldom Bother It
