Plant Sentry™

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.

This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

  • Huge Flowers: Each bloom reaches over six inches wide for a dramatic display.
  • Long Blooming Season: Flowers continuously from June through September.

Garden and Landscape Applications

The graceful elegance of Bernadine™ Clematis makes it one of the most versatile perennials you can grow. Whether climbing a trellis, scrambling along a fence, spilling over containers, or weaving through groundcovers, this ornamental vine is sure to impress.

For small-space gardens, plant it in containers with a sturdy trellis for a vertical statement or use it as a spilling accent in oversized pots. Create modern Zen Gardens by pairing Bernadine™ with blue-toned blooms and evergreen shrubs.

In larger landscapes, install it along borders, pergolas, or garden obelisks for an architectural touch. Its cool-toned hues make it a stunning contrast against dark-foliaged plants, like Tuxedo™ Weigela.

For a whimsical, natural look, let Bernadine™ Clematis scramble through English Ivy or Aronia groundcovers. It also makes a beautiful addition to Pollinator Gardens, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds throughout the season.

Clematis Care & Maintenance

Plant yours with Nature Hills Root Booster for lifelong root system symbiotic support.

  • Mulching: Apply a 3-4 inch layer of mulch to keep roots cool and moist.
  • Fertilizing: Use Nature Hills Root Booster to enhance root development and improve plant health.
