Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
Shipping
To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.
Standard Shipping Rates
At Nature Hills we handle, package and ship the products you order with the utmost care to ensure healthy delivery. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the tables below. Understanding Plant Options
Nature Hills offers plants in two main formats:
- Container Plants: Grown in pots with soil, sized by container volume and plant age
- Bare Root Plants: Dormant plants without soil, sized by height measurements
Container Plant Sizes
Container sizes indicate plant age and growing capacity rather than liquid volume equivalents. Our containers follow industry-standard nursery "trade gallon" specifications, which differ from standard liquid gallon measurements.

Beat the winter blues with a case of the spring blues! The dramatic mixture of Blue Artisan Garden Blend of Bulbs (Crocus 'Jeanne D'Arc', Crocus 'Flower Record', Crocus 'Pickwick', Scilla siberica) includes three Crocus varieties and one Siberian Squill to bring fresh blue tones to your spring garden!
Featuring the snowy white Jeanne D'Arc Crocus with pretty purple streaks at the base of each blossom, combined with the vibrant violet-purple Flower Record Crocus. Mixed in is the white and purple striped and feathered Pickwick Crocus, and to bring in the contrast, the sky blue Siberian Squill and its starry little blooms!
All four Blue Artisan Garden Blends bulb varieties have upright spikey green foliage that forms slowly expanding clumps and freely naturalizes throughout your lawn and garden! Hardy in the heat and cold of USDA planting zones 3 to 8, and none of these spring ephemerals grow taller than 10 inches when in bloom!
Planting and Application:
Low-growing but dramatically showy, this blue-and-white combo will light up your early spring gardens and feed early-emerging pollinators that are ravenous after a long winter. Let these lovelies spring up in the front edges of garden beds and crop up throughout mixed perennial and shrub borders, shining while these larger plants sleep, but then happily basking in their later-emerging foliage as relief from the hot summer sun!
Intersperse Blue Artisan bulbs into your lawn for a spring surprise, long before you need to worry about mowing your lawn! Once the flowers fade and the turf grass takes over, their green foliage blends in seamlessly with your lawn! You won't need to worry the grass will choke them out or vice versa.
No room for even the smallest spring-flowering bulbs in your landscape? No worries! The Blue Artisan Garden Bulb Blend happily frolics in pots and planters, window boxes, and balcony container gardens too!
- Pretty Early Flowering Spring Bulbs
- Violet-Blue, White & Purple/White Striped Crocus & Blue Squills
- Spikey Short Green Foliage
- Early Pollinator-Friendly Nectar & Pollen Resource
- Lawn Color, Front Edging, Beds & Borders & Container Gardens
#ProPlantTips for Care:
These perennial bulbs should be planted in the fall, and need a full sun location to flower their best. Any well-drained soil with moderate moisture access works for these plants! Easy to grow and low-maintenance, all your flowers need from you is water during extreme conditions and some deadheading after the flowers fade. Leave the foliage to make food for the bulbs but once the leaves die back or turn yellow, you can then prune them back close to the ground.
