#ProPlantTips for Care:
This Hennie Graaflandis more sun and drought-tolerant than other Astilbes. Astilbe works beautifully in partly shaded gardens, though this one can tolerate some morning sun and afternoon shade in hot climates, or full sun in the coldest of their favored growing zones. Astilbes are grown most successfully in rich, well-drained soil and under partial sun. The biggest key to the success of your Astilbes is evenly moist soil, especially during the flower development.
Hennie Graafland will do best in a relatively sheltered location. Consider applying a thick layer of mulch around the root zone for the growing season to conserve soil moisture. Wait to cut the foliage back until spring, as that will protect the plant during the winter. Fertilize Astilbes in late spring before the flowers emerge.
- Partial Shade Perennial
- Well-Drained Soil That's Organically Enriched

- Prune Early Spring Before New Growth
