Tall fluttering blooms lining an upright flowering spire, the Amber Mystique Gladiolus (Gladiolus x hortulanus 'Amber Mistique') displays super soft yellow blooms with violet-purple throats! The ruffled petals form big blooms that completely line the tall stems, gradually opening from the bottom up for a long-lasting display!
Amber Mystique Gladiolus are tall focal points in bouquets and tall features in the garden, loving your sunny gardens where the pollinators and hummingbirds will gladly drop by! The summer-long bloom is sure to turn heads!
Glads can grow 36-48 inches tall when in bloom with groupings of sword-like vertical green leaves that only spread about 6-8 inches wide, gradually forming tidy clumps you can divide and use to spread the beauty throughout your garden!
Landscape Application:
No matter how big your garden is, you will easily tuck these narrow-growing flowering corms into existing and established gardens! In the Cottage garden or the mixed perennial border, Glads create high-impact drifts, backdrops, and rows in tight spots, groupings in corners, great for lining paths! Try a tidy row or zigzag along a fence line or rock wall!
Great vertical texture in large mixed-planters, porch, and patio pots, or planted as specimen groupings in tall, high-style containers, the compliments will roll in when you place one on either side of your sunny front door! Butterflies, bees, and Hummingbirds love these flouncy intensely hued blossoms!
Any garden becomes a cut flower garden with a few Amber Mystique, and everyone will love the tall, upscale vase arrangements you make with a few of these incredible, long-lasting blooms! Flowering from the bottom up, the spikes can bloom for two weeks!

#ProPlantTips for Care:
Gladiolus, sometimes spelled Gladiola and Gladioli plural, flowers best in full sun in cooler growing zones but appreciates afternoon shade in hot climates. Growing as seasonal annuals in all growing zones but are hardy perennials you can leave in the ground in USDA planting zones 8 to 10. Any well-drained soil environment works great and these corms grow best when their soil isn't soggy and highly organic. These bulbs do appreciate moderate yet regular moisture access.
Plant these corms, which are round, squat little bulb-like structures, in the spring. Plant them about 6-8 inches deep. Groupings and rows have the biggest effect and impact on your garden, so plant your corms pointy side up about 5-6 inches apart.
Stake your flower wands if you've not planted your Glads in a location protected from the wind. Deadhead the flowering spire as soon as the last flower fades but keep the greenery to make food for the bulb until they yellow. In zones 1 through 7, dig your corms up (lifting your bulbs) and store them for the winter in a cool, dry location. Each year you'll notice more and more little corms forming around the base of the parent corm for more blooms each year!
- Full Sun & Afternoon Shade In Hot Climates
- Moderate Moisture Needs
- Organic Well-Drained Soil
- Deadhead After Blooms Fade & Prune or Dig in Fall
- Deer & Rabbit Resistant
