Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry™
Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.
Due to winter weather we have put a hold on shipping to the areas shown below in grey. You can still order now and we will ship the plant to you during an appropriate time for your zone.

How to Use Garland® Tekla™ Clematis in the Landscape
For rented property, consider crafting a lightweight bench with a rectangular planter box behind the seat. Attach a piece of wide-mesh netting to a pair of tall struts on either side of the planter.
Train your Garland Tekla Clematis up to cover the netting. Presto... enjoy seating and privacy in one!
Create a series of these bench planters to run the length of your balcony. Then just chill and unwind in your flowering bower.
Install a long, low trellis to add structure in back of your mixed perennial borders. Then grow several Garland Tekla spaced two feet apart to provide the dynamic color.
Plant them along the partial shade edge of a woodland. These special plants become a very glamorous blooming groundcover.
Tekla brings the heat when planted at the base of mature evergreen shrubs. Allow them to climb over the top and bloom. There will be no damage, but you'll enjoy a whole lot more color!
If you want to show off your patriotic pride, create a red, white and blue garden theme to grace your gazebo with help from the Nature Hills line of Clematis. Intertwine Garland Tekla with Regal® Diamantina™ and Tranquilité™ Clematis.
Gardening is such a personal pastime. Make your own slice of paradise with these low maintenance vining plants.
#ProPlantTips for Care
Clematis love their foliage in full sun and their roots in partial shade. In warmer climates, it's best to select a shaded or partially shaded planting site.
They won't do well in standing water, so well-drained soil is a must. Keep your Tekla in containers if you have soggy soil that drains slowly.
Our vine experts highly recommend the time-tested Nature Hills Root Booster for all Clematis varieties. It never "wears out", but rather provides tiny feeder roots symbiotic ingredients to access micronutrients from the soil.
Add a three-inch layer of wood mulch to keep the soil cool. Always pull mulch back away from directly touching the crown.
Apply a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. Careful water is important for container-grown Clematis...consider adding automated drip irrigation if you can.
Prune in early spring right above living, healthy buds 12 inches from the ground. New blooms emerge from those healthy buds.
Don't miss out on the sensation! We'll sell out of our limited inventory of Garland Tekla Clematis quickly.
