Brawny and tough, the Hybrid Tea Firefighter® Rose bush (Rosa 'ORAdal') brings a strapping presence to any garden! You'll flip for the bold red blooms and strong old-fashioned Rose fragrance. Use this vigorous, upright bush to light up your landscape with exhibition quality, high-centered dark red blooms with lighter reverse petals.

Each of the fully double blooms features up to 45 dusky, velvet red petals apiece and is held on long stems. Surprisingly easy-care with few thorns on the canes, Firefighter® is a very modern Hybrid Tea with great genetics and are perfect for filling your bud vases and floral bouquets. The glossy green foliage is the perfect backdrop for these blooms.

This good-looking Rose was named to honor the heroic emergency workers who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001. This attractive, upright bush can be styled into a living sculpture in a high-profile setting. Cast exterior landscape lighting from either side to illuminate the valiant blooms at night.

Hardy throughout USDA growing zones 6 through 10, Firefighter® is heat and humidity resistant! Growing to an upright oval 4 - 6 feet tall and only 2 - 3 feet tall. These are space-saving plants for any sized garden!

Planting and Application:

Create an elegant mass planting on either side of your patio or entryway. Space them four or five feet apart in a checkerboard planting pattern, and use dark stone mulch for a very modern visual effect. Pair them with other Roses as a really special way to commemorate your own loved one.

You can achieve that same high-end look by growing them in streamlined outdoor planters. Contrasting clean green foliage dresses them up all season. Snip them for indoor arrangements and let their spiraled, formal blooms dazzle you and your guests. They'll bloom in flushes throughout the season, cutting them actually encourages faster rebloom.

The narrow, almost columnar form, works great as narrow hedges along border gardens and for use along pathways and walkways, foundation plantings and as backdrops to other garden beds. Even large planters and pots can accommodate these fantastic blooms!

  • Deep Saturated Red Blooms & Lighter Petal Backs
  • Fewer Thorns & Easy-Care Canes
  • Glossy Green Foliage & Columnar Form
  • Gorgeous Hybrid Tea & Great Cut Flower
  • Gift and Memorial Rose, Specimen, Garden Bed & Borders

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Select a full sun planting site where the Firefighter® Rose will get at least six hours of sun a day. They require well-drained soil, so create a raised bed or planting mound to improve drainage. Consistent watering is best during flowering and a 3-4 inch layer of arborist mulch. Feed your flowers with high-quality Rose fertilizer, and please keep nitrogen-rich lawn fertilizer well away from these shrubs. Give them the life-long support they deserve with the symbiotic Nature Hills Root Booster formula used in the planting hole.

Each year in autumn, rake up and bag up fallen leaf litter for yard waste. In early spring, prune all the canes down to six inches in early spring; cutting at a 45-degree angle above a nice, fat bud. Learn about winterizing, and un-wintering your Roses in our Garden Blog, plus all the tips and tricks you need when pruning your new prize Rose bush! Growing Hybrid Tea Roses in zones colder than zone 7 should be mounded with 8-12 inches of mulch in late fall for best overwintering.

  • Full Sun & Good Air Circulation Location
