Put a spotlight in your garden with the dramatic, scarlet tones and high-centered form of Papa Meilland® Hybrid Tea Rose (Rosa 'Meisar'). Each miraculous bloom features 35 velvety petals and a strong, fruity fragrance! No one can overlook (or ever forget) these impactful, award-winning Hybrid Tea Roses.

Held singly on long, strong stems, Papa Meilland® Rose bush produces impeccable, long-lasting cut flowers to enjoy indoors. These tall, upright bushes are draped with attractive, dark olive green, glossy foliage. Hybridized by the world-famous Alain Meilland, it's no wonder why he selected this crimson rebloomer to wear his name with pride!

Heat and humidity resistant throughout USDA growing zones 6 to 10, these fantastic Hybrid Tea Roses have modern resistance. Growing taller than wide, these 3-4 foot tall ornamental flowering plants only spread 2-3 feet wide.

Planting and Application:

Just as a platinum ring shows off a diamond to perfection, give Papa Meilland® a high-profile setting with plenty of air circulation. Plant one or more to decorate and perfume your patio seating area. Plan to cut the buds and blooms regularly for professional cut flower arrangements. This will encourage faster rebloom, and elevate the quality of your life!

Create a fabulous "Red Carpet" moment with a double hedge, flanking either side of a garden path. Space them four to five feet apart on center, measuring from the center of one to the center of the next.

Grow Papa Meilland® Rose in oversized garden containers. They'll be a perfect accent for balconies, decks, and porches for many years with proper care. This exquisite selection easily amplifies the curb appeal of your home. Place a pair of Papa Meilland on either side of your front door for a knock-out look!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Give Rose bushes full sun with at least six hours of sunlight to support the bloom production. Plant them in well-drained soil, or elevate their root systems in a raised bed. Provide a moderate amount of water on a regular basis. Maximize the performance with Nature Hills Root Booster during planting, then mulch to a depth of 3-4 inches, pulling it back away from the stems. Container-grown plants need well-drained soil and a careful schedule of water. Try drip irrigation systems to make things very easy on yourself. Rake and bag all fallen foliage in late fall. In early spring and mid-summer, apply a slow-release fertilizer for flowering plants.

Growing Hybrid Tea Roses in zones colder than zone 7 should be mounded with 8-12 inches of mulch in late fall after the frost killed the leaves for best overwintering. Prune in early spring down to eight inches to maintain plenty of dense branching. Want more info about pruning Roses, winterizing Roses, and un-wintering Roses in spring?
