Description
Powerball® Panicle Hydrangea lives up to its bold name with perfectly globe-shaped flower heads that emerge lime-green, transition to bright white, and then blush soft pink as the season progresses, delivering a three-season color show in a single plant. This vigorous, upright hydrangea grows 4–5 feet tall and is exceptionally cold-hardy, reliably blooming even after harsh winters because it flowers on new wood. Its unique ball-shaped blooms stand out among traditional panicle hydrangeas and look stunning in the landscape or as cut flowers.
- Unique perfectly round globe-shaped blooms, lime green → white → soft pink through the season
- Blooms reliably on new wood, cold-hardy performance in Zones 3–8
- Upright, 4–5 ft. habit with strong stems that hold blooms upright without flopping
- Long bloom season from midsummer through fall
- Excellent as cut flowers and dried arrangements
- Attracts butterflies and pollinators
- Low maintenance, prune in late winter for best results
Powerball® Panicle Hydrangea thrives in full sun to part shade with moist, well-drained soil. Water deeply and regularly, particularly during hot, dry spells, to fuel the large blooms. Mulch around the base to conserve moisture and moderate soil temperature. Prune in late winter or early spring, removing about one-third of the plant to stimulate vigorous new growth and the largest possible blooms. Apply a balanced fertilizer in spring to support robust flowering. Exceptionally easy to grow and maintain, this showstopper deserves a prime spot in every garden. Add to your cart today!
