Easy Elegance® Roses
Easy Elegance® roses prove that growing gorgeous roses doesn't require a chemistry degree or a spray schedule. These own-root shrub roses were bred specifically for gardeners who want continuous color without the constant maintenance traditional roses demand.
What Makes Easy Elegance® Different
Unlike grafted roses that can sucker from the rootstock or die back to an undesirable variety, Easy Elegance® roses grow on their own roots. This means every shoot that emerges is the rose you planted. Own-root roses also develop stronger, more fibrous root systems that handle transplant shock, drought, and cold winters better than their grafted counterparts.
Bailey Nurseries developed this collection with Midwestern and Northern gardeners in mind, selecting varieties that laugh at humidity, shrug off black spot, and keep blooming from late spring through hard frost.
Roses Without the Routine
Forget weekly fungicide applications and complicated pruning diagrams. Easy Elegance® roses need only the basics: full sun, decent drainage, and an annual spring pruning to remove dead wood and shape the plant. They're bred to resist the big three rose diseases (black spot, powdery mildew, and rust) without chemical intervention.
These compact shrub roses fit easily into mixed borders, foundation plantings, and even large containers. Most varieties reach 3-4 feet tall and wide, making them manageable for gardeners of any experience level.
