Get florist-quality flowers with the luscious Fruit Punch® Raspberry Ruffles Dianthus (Dianthus x 'Raspberry Ruffles') from Proven Winners® and Nature Hills! Fruit Punch® Raspberry Ruffles is happy to give you loads of small carnation-like flowers for several weeks in late spring/early summer and then again in the fall!

Raspberry Ruffles Dianthus has fully double, raspberry pink-colored flowers that are a whopping 1 and ¾ inches across (HUGE for a cottage pink). Every petal has a serrated edge that is outlined with a thin but distinct white line that really makes the raspberry color glow! And unlike other flowers that fade as the season wears on, Raspberry Ruffles keeps its strong color without fading. The flowers are extravagantly ruffled and lightly fragrant with the scent of cloves. These lovely blossoms are backed by a compactly-growing mound of dainty pointed blue-green leaves.

Raspberry Ruffles is a vibrant new bi-color for these beautiful garden favorites from Proven Winners®. Plus, Dianthus are highly tolerant of heat and humidity, standing up to it better than many other Garden Pinks! It won't melt during the dog days of summer! They have a nice light scent that makes them attractive to pollinators like bees and butterflies. It is also a treat to bury your own nose into them!

#ProPlantTips for Care:

Dianthus are full sun perennial plants with improved heat tolerance, and appreciate afternoon shade in the hotter climates of 4 through 9, where they can be evergreen perennials in mild winter locations! Requiring average moisture and any well-drained soil. Drought-tolerant Dianthus appreciate a 3-4 inch thick layer of mulch over the soil surface to hold in moisture more regularly and enrich the soil.

Forming mounds 8 - 10 inches high and spread to about 10 - 14 inches wide, Fruit Punch® Dianthus carpet areas quickly. After they finish their first flush of blooms, a quick shear will allow them to re-energize for a nice rebloom in the fall. You can prune the mounds to keep them neat and tidy, removing any winter dieback. Garden Pinks are well-known as cold hardy and easy growing, plus they are deer and rabbit resistant!

  • Full Sun For The Most Blooms!
  • Any Well-Drained Soil - Despise Soggy Conditions
  • Moderate Moisture - Low Once Established
  • Deadhead After Flowers Fade For Rebloom
  • Prune Early Spring
  • Deer & Rabbits Seldom Bother With Dianthus

And you know how much work it takes for you to get great big flushes of blooms? Very little! This is a super easy evergreen plan that will make you look like an expert gardener no matter if you've ever picked up a spade before or not!
