#ProPlantTips for Care:
Vavoom™ Tree Rose is a sun-lover, so please give her as much sun as you can. Well-drained soil is a must-have as well, so choose a location with good air circulation and plant her roots in rich organic soil. Give a nice, thick 3-4 inch layer of mulch around the plant to keep the roots cool. During the season, remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. In the spring, remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross.
Rose Tree Care & Pruning
Some winter protection for Tree Form Roses is suggested for the colder zones 5 and 6 and some of zone 7 too by overwintering in an unheated garage after it goes dormant, or outside with straw and burlap wrap. Then in spring, take it back out or unwrap it, and trim the head back to about a 12" sphere just as it begins to grow again in spring.
Early each spring, after the last frost of the year has passed, it's always a good idea to prune back the Rose tree several inches to maintain the nice round form atop its trunk. Keep new blooms returning with occasional deadheading, quickly improving your overall display.
Prune away suckers and branching that forms at the base or on the trunk each year too.
