#ProPlantTips for Care:
We know, that Rose care can seem like a tricky task to tackle, but we promise this Rose is as easy to care for as Roses come! Site selection is actually the most important aspect. Plant this lovely compact plant somewhere it can bask in the sun all day long for the best blooms! It's a real sun lover. Making sure the soil is well draining is important as well! Growing Roses in outdoor containers or in the ground requires a consistent schedule of supplemental moisture. Don't forget to add a thick layer of Mulch.
Coral Drift® Rose Trees, like others in the Drift® series, are notoriously easy to maintain and extremely disease resistant! No need to worry about common Rose ailments anymore! Fertilize your Coral Drift® each spring. A slow-release or controlled-release fertilizer should do the trick and leave your shrub happier and healthier than ever.
Rose Tree Care & Pruning
Some winter protection for Tree Form Roses is suggested for the colder zones 5 and 6 and some of zone 7 too by overwintering in an unheated garage after it goes dormant, or outside with straw and burlap wrap. Then in spring, take it back out or unwrap it and trim the head back to about a 12" sphere just as it begins to grow again in spring.
Early each spring, after the last frost of the year has passed, it's always a good idea to prune back Coral Drift® Rose, and trim the head back to about a 12" sphere to maintain the nice round form atop its trunk. Keep new blooms returning with occasional deadheading, quickly improving your overall display.
Prune away suckers and branching that forms at the base or on the trunk each year too. Pruning Roses allows for better, bushier growth each year and stimulates new growth.
