pugster-pico-punch-butterfly-bush
Pugster Pico Punch® Butterfly Bush

Pugster Pico Punch® Butterfly Bush (Buddleia x 'Pugster Pico Punch') is the smallest of the Pugster® butterfly bushes, a mounded deciduous shrub just 1 to 2 feet tall and wide that covers itself in vivid purple flower spikes from summer into fall. It is hardy in zones 5 through 10.

Classic butterfly bushes can tower over a bed. Pico Punch packs the same big, fragrant flowers onto a plant small enough for the front of a border, a patio pot or a narrow strip along a walk. It keeps blooming on new growth all season, so there is no deadheading to keep up with.

Use it as an edging, in a mass planting where the color can carry, as a filler in mixed containers, or tucked into a small sunny garden. Space plants 1 to 2 feet apart. Bees and butterflies come to the flowers all season long.

Plant it in full sun, at least six hours a day, in soil that drains well. Average or even poor soil is fine. Once established it needs little extra water, and deer and rabbits tend to leave it alone. In zones 5 and colder, plant it in spring or early summer and skip fall pruning. A quick trim in spring is all the care it asks for.

Add Pugster Pico Punch® to your cart for nonstop purple color in the smallest sunny spot.
