monstera-thai-constellation
Monstera Deliciosa 'Thai Constellation'

Monstera Thai Constellation (Monstera deliciosa 'Thai Constellation') is a variegated Swiss Cheese Plant whose green leaves are speckled and marbled with creamy white, like a night sky. It grows into the same large climbing plant as the species, 6 to 8 feet tall in most homes, and is hardy outdoors only in USDA zones 10 through 12.

What sets it apart from other variegated Monsteras is the pattern. Instead of large white sectors, the cream is scattered across the whole leaf in flecks and streaks, so each leaf keeps plenty of green and the plant grows more steadily than heavily white forms. The leaves still split and develop holes as the plant matures, just like a green Monstera deliciosa.

Give it a spot where the leaves can spread, such as a bright living room corner, with a moss pole or sturdy support for the stems to climb. It is the kind of plant people build a room around, so plan for its mature size rather than the size it arrives at.

Variegated Monsteras need more light than green ones, because the white parts of each leaf do not feed the plant. Give it bright, indirect light, water thoroughly and then let the top quarter to third of the mix dry, and keep it warm, between 60 and 85 degrees F, with good humidity. Keep it away from cats and dogs.

Light: bright, indirect light, more than a green Monstera

Water: water thoroughly, then let the top third of the mix dry

Soil: rich, well-drained, peat-based or aroid mix

Support: a moss pole or sturdy stake as it climbs

Every plant ships potted from Nature Hills Nursery and is covered by our 45-day Growing & Glowing Guarantee.
